Classroom Updates
Please read the Home and School Connection, found on our school's webpage, for weekly news!
  • Life Skill of the Week: Sense of humor
  • Weekly AR % Goal to Reach: 94%
SACRAMENTAL PREP NEWS:
  • The FHC Retreat is scheduled May 3, right after Mass. Parents are invited to come! The FHC Mass is scheduled on May 4, at 11:00AM. Please drop your child off to my classroom no later than 10:45 AM. Photos will be taken in the First Grade classroom beginning at 10:00 AM.
  • Studio portrait forms will be handed out to you Monday, April 29. The Photo Guys will be taking the photos in the First Grade classroom, beginning around 10 AM if you would like to purchase them.
  • Jose Digital is also taking the picture of your child receiving the Eucharist for the first time. This is $25. Please hand the money to me for collection if interested.
GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:
  • Progress Reports went home today, Friday, April 19. Please check your child's Take Home folder for them. Sign and return both the AR Report and the Progress Report/SLE Report no later than Wednesday, April 24.
  • As we progress further into the Third Trimester, your child's grades will be appearing differently on work sent home in the Take Home folder. Instead of using a fraction, you will begin to see percentages. This is what will be commonly seen next year as Progress Reports and Report Cards will have number grades as well as letter grades.
  • Students should be taking an AR once a week if reading a chapter book. Two a week if reading picture books. So many great AR percentages and proud of my students' reading stamina!
  • Summer uniforms are now in effect! Sweaters, sweatshirts, and PE pants may be worn if colder weather persists.
  • All students need to have a water bottle!
  • Weekly Work Folders come home once a week. Please return them clean and to school the next day. Only work labeled with "Parent Sign" should return with a signature.
  • Students should be completing all homework assignments with best efforts, neat printing, and following all directions. Homework will be redone at recess if it is not neat. Thank you for keeping with our expectations of handwriting! Please try to have your students work independently first, then check the work after.
