Accreditation

St. Francis de Sales is fully accredited by the Western Catholic Educational Association (WCEA). In 2014, St. Francis de Sales received the coveted top ratings of “highly effective” and a full clear accreditation for the longest term possible of six years. The Visiting Committee's Report of Findings can be accessed by clicking on the file included below.

Areas assessed include: involvement of shareholders, use of prior accreditation findings, assessment of the school’s Catholic identity, defining the school’s purpose, data analysis and use, acceptable progress by all students, curriculum and instruction, support for student spiritual and academic growth, resource management and development, and the capacity to implement and monitor an action plan.

At St. Francis de Sales, we believe that continuing evaluation and improvement of the curriculum is essential to the development of an effective educational program that promotes a lifelong love of learning. The accreditation process is more than a stamp of approval or quality assurance. It is a collaborative results-oriented school improvement process that serves as the underpinning of an effective school.
