GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:
- Saturday was beautiful!! I am so excited for your child to be able to receive Jesus with you at Mass. The class did a fantastic job and worked hard showing all of their practicing. I am SO proud of them!!
- Friday, May 10 is an early dismissal day at 10:30 AM. There is after school this day.
- MAY CROWNING: Students are asked to wear their First Holy Communion clothes TO SCHOOL on Thursday, May 9. Please plan on bringing a change of clothes for your child to change into, in the church bathrooms, after the ceremony. If you are available to change them after, please meet us in the church. Otherwise, students will change in the school bathrooms.
- FIELD DAY: This is a half day. We are asking for only water bottles and Gatorade bottles in ice chests for the students. Students should bring their own snacks before to eat prior to games beginning! (Healthier snacks like fruit, vegetables, crackers, and pretzels are a better option as students will be on the field completing stations this year!)
- As we progress further into the Third Trimester, your child's grades will be appearing differently on work sent home in the Take Home folder. Instead of using a fraction, you will begin to see percentages. This is what will be commonly seen next year as Progress Reports and Report Cards will have number grades as well as letter grades.
- Students should be taking an AR once a week if reading a chapter book. Two a week if reading picture books. So many great AR percentages and proud of my students' reading stamina!
- Summer uniforms are now in effect! Sweaters, sweatshirts, and PE pants may be worn if colder weather persists.
- All students need to have a water bottle!
- Weekly Work Folders come home once a week. Please return them clean and to school the next day. Only work labeled with "Parent Sign" should return with a signature.
- Students should be completing all homework assignments with best efforts, neat printing, and following all directions. Homework will be redone at recess if it is not neat. Thank you for keeping with our expectations of handwriting! Please try to have your students work independently first, then check the work after.
