Curriculum
6th Grade

Religion: Christ Our Life

Our curriculum dives deep into the Old Testament. We will bring the foundational stories of our faith to life by exploring the patriarchs, the courage of the prophets, and the wisdom of the Psalms. From Creation and the journey of Abraham to the liberation of the Israelites and the reign of the great kings, students will find connections between these ancient struggles and their own spiritual lives today.

Social Studies: Ancient Civilizations

We will explore the mysteries of the past to see how the earliest people built the world we inhabit today. Our journey follows the timeline of human achievement from the rise of Mesopotamia, Sumer, and Babylon through the transformative ideas of the Renaissance. By viewing these eras as a continuous story of growth, students will see how ancient inventions and breakthroughs still influence our modern world.

7th Grade

Religion: Christ Our Life, Jesus and the Gospels

Our curriculum will center our studies on the life of Jesus by discussing the powerful stories found in the Gospels. We will reflect on his teachings and parables not just as ancient texts, but as living lessons that apply to our daily actions and the way we treat one another. By engaging in deep conversations about his ministry, we will find ways to let his message guide our own modern lives.

Social Studies: U.S. History

Our curriculum will examine US History by traveling from the time of early civilizations all the way through the Civil War. We will explore how these historical turning points still impact our society today by putting ourselves in the shoes of the people who built this country. Through storytelling, we will bring these eras to life and discover how the challenges and triumphs of the past shaped the world we live in now.

8th Grade

Religion: Christ Our Life, The History of the Church

Our curriculum will engage in deep conversations about the History of the Church, treating its two thousand year journey as a living narrative that we are still part of today. We will explore the challenges, the triumphs, and the influential figures who shaped our faith from the early apostles to the modern era. By understanding where we have been, we can better understand our own role in the Church's story today.

Social Studies: World History

Our curriculum will go beyond just maps and borders to learn how different cultures, environments, and physical landscapes shape the human experience. By finding modern day examples of how geography influences our world, we will learn to relate to our global neighbors and see how we are all connected in a modern context.
